I've been designing websites, largely for personal use since 1997. I've had my hands on drawing, painting, photography, drafting, ceramics on and off over the years, but none stuck to me like web design did.

It is far more a hobby than a job.

I believe in trying to keep hobbies and work seperated.

Cheers.

A long standing client I’ve gratefully had for a couple years now. Content wise definitely one of the larger sites I’ve had to manage and have learned a great deal working on it.

Its come threw several renditions progressively getting better and better, which I like, its good to know I’m still learning and progressing. :D

I think this was actually my first solid attempt at a Wordpress theme. I started with someone elses template that suited the layout and color, and started to mod it. You wouldn’t recognize the theme to its original at all.

It was also to the be the template surrounding a forum as well. Which was added difficulty to duplicate the theme in Wordpress and vBulletin.

I was really embellishing using a big HUGE image for the main design of this template.

There was initially, or we thought there was going to be, some content for the left white portion, but never quite turned out.

Very straight forward and simple. I suppose that’s pretty much my style. :P

I was digging this one a lot. I can’t remember why I never went forward with it, I might still revisit it one day and integrate it into wordpress.

Although I’d definately fix that terrible extension of my wrist! Taken from this photo. “Flying Coke”

We all remember when mySpace ruled the online community, back when the new fab was posting sparkling glittering “thanks for the add” .gif’s in everyone’s comment boxes. Oh how I loved (hated) those days.

But on the upside they did, however, against all things sane, allow users to upload their own CSS/HTML to modify the look of their profile. Which in turn produced some of the brightest glitter covered color murdering profiles in history. Well that’s the downside I suppose, pending how you look at it.

It did of course allow me to practically fully design my own profile. I think I had this particular one live for close to a year before I decided to go back to default.

Fully functional. Of course I had to manually add my friends to my ‘top friends’ list…  :D

Made good use of transparency on this one. Props to whoever took that really nice photo of our new engineering building at school. Without that it wouldn’t of looked near as nice.
